PALLIAKID is a European research initiative dedicated to improving the quality of life and care for children, adolescents, and young people with life-limiting conditions. The project focuses on developing and evaluating innovative approaches to paediatric palliative and end-of-life care, ensuring that care is timely, personalised, and centred on the needs of patients and their families.
PALLIAKID brings together clinical, research, and technology partners to strengthen early identification of palliative care needs, promote holistic assessment, and support shared decision-making through digital tools and evidence-based care pathways. The project also aims to build capacity among healthcare professionals and contribute to the development of standards and recommendations for high-quality paediatric palliative care.
By promoting collaboration and innovation across European healthcare systems, PALLIAKID seeks to ensure that children and young people receive compassionate, coordinated, and evidence-based palliative care, regardless of where they live.
