HUS News Children’s Hospital

Helsinki, Finland

HUS New Children’s Hospital is Finland’s leading centre for highly specialised paediatric care and the country’s largest hospital dedicated to children and adolescents. As part of the Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) network, it provides advanced care for patients from birth to 17 years of age, serving both the Helsinki metropolitan area and, for many complex conditions, the entire country.

Guided by its mission, “Together, for the protection of each and every child,” the hospital places the well-being, equality, and needs of children and families at the centre of its work. Combining outstanding clinical outcomes, world-class facilities, highly skilled professionals, and a strong research culture, HUS New Children’s Hospital is recognised as a national and international leader in paediatric healthcare.

The hospital provides comprehensive specialist services across all paediatric disciplines, with national referral responsibilities in areas such as paediatric surgery, organ transplantation, ECMO, and the treatment of sever childhood cancers. Its strong academic profile is reflected in approximately 300 scientific publications and 50 active drug trials each year.
