Patient experience in children’s hospitals is shaped by many factors, including the hospital environment, clinical interactions, pain management, emotional support, and the experiences of families and siblings. It is further influenced by the wide developmental range of paediatric patients and the emphasis on family-centred care.
The PX Working Group was established to address these complexities through collaboration and shared learning.
The PX Working Group is currently conducting the PREM-PED study which is validating the national Swedish patient reported experience measure (PREM) in five ECHO hospitals. The aim is to have a common PREM to enable international benchmarking and quality improvement.
Objectives
- Foster collaboration, exchange of best practices, and promote continuous improvement in patient experience across ECHO member hospitals
